Traceability: a priority
Traceability is the cornerstone of Maje's commitments and guides every action. This requirement serves three main objectives: gaining a detailed understanding of the value chain, assessing social and environmental risks, and providing transparent information to customers.
To achieve this, the brand works with Fairly Made, an external partner, to map product journeys and collect data at every stage of production.
Since the Winter 2025 season, 100% of products (excluding jewellery) have been traceable beyond regulatory requirements. By 2030, the goal is to be able to identify every stage of production right back to the countries of origin of the main raw materials.
From fibre to garment
At Maje, traceability is implemented piece by piece. For each product reference, the teams collect information from the factories responsible for the final manufacturing stage, which in turn gather data from their partners handling the material-processing stages, with the ultimate aim of collecting information linked to farming or cultivation.
This approach is a management tool that can be used to identify the most sensitive areas and adjust the choice of materials or partners.
On Maje products, traceability becomes visible. The QR codes on the labels reveal their journey, country of manufacture and main certifications. Online product sheets detail the origin of the materials and the key stages in the manufacturing process.
